Project Overview

In the bourgeois area of Filothei in Athens lies a discreet and contemporary new-build home full of architectural prowess. Meraki was appointed for both the interior design and furniture direction working off the architect’s plans and covering four storeys as well as an outdoor area and slender swimming pool.

Aesthetic Direction

A resort feel with Balinese accents, this couple sought to design a home that would transport them to faraway climes while remaining in-keeping with the verdant Filothei setting.

Material & Colour Palette

Limewashed walls meet poured concrete floors with textured timber lining the ceilings, this is a home that’s all about natural materials and plenty of them. Meraki kept the colour palette natural in turn with warm wood tones complemented by a deep ocean green clay stone for the pool to dramatise its depths.

Noteworthy Features

  • The vertical garden wall that speaks to the indoor-outdoor living environment the couple were keen to foster

  • The floating walnut staircase connecting each floor that looks somehow weightless

“Made the whole renovation process less overwhelming and enjoyable. I have my dream forever home and its all thanks to Meraki.”
