Project Overview

Seeking to refresh their celebrated hotel, Lympstone’s owner instructed Meraki to establish the interior design direction for the whole hotel from its rooms and suites to its fine dining, Michelin-starred restaurant.

Aesthetic Direction

A country house in the rolling hills of Devon it might be, but by tapping into a slightly lighter, brighter, more modern-country aesthetic created a tranquil place of escape that draws influence from the surrounding Devonshire landscape.

Elegant dining room with white walls, a large chandelier, blue curtains, and framed mirrors. Decor includes a flower arrangement on a round table and white tablecloths with glassware. The floor has a black and white geometric pattern.

Material & Colour Palette

Duck egg blues and warm whites accented with polished marble, mid-oak tones and plenty of iridescent velvet finishes results in a palette that is restful but opulent in equal measure.

A living room with large windows, beige curtains, and a chandelier. There are sofas, armchairs, and lamps, along with a fireplace and a large mirror above it.
Elegant restaurant interior with cream-colored walls decorated with painted trees and birds, featuring wall sconces, a fireplace, and round tables with white tablecloths and napkins.

Noteworthy Features

Meraki collaborated closely with multiple local artisans to celebrate the region in every sense through Lymptone’s interior decoration.

“Working with Maria and Eris on the interior design for Lympstone Manor was an incredible journey, right from their initial creative pitch to the launch of what has always been my vision. Meraki proved to be innovative, efficient and detailed throughout the project and passionately embraced my initial brief bringing to life my dream; a country house hotel for the 21st century.”
