Project Overview

Not only an aesthetic redecoration project but effectively a rebranding mission too, Meraki was brought in to develop a unified design language that would also steer the strategic brand repositioning of this high-end hospitality destination in Panormos, Mykonos.

Aesthetic Direction

A small and perfectly formed seven-bedroom boutique hotel in hotspot Mykonos, The Etesian can equally be hired out as an entire private villa and so ensuring every space felt connected and homely was paramount. Mediterranean and earthy in influence, the design concept was to reflect Mykonos island’s calm yet cool energy to create a unique hotel concept that would differentiate the client. The result is an aesthetic that speaks to the modern traveler seeking quiet luxury and a sense of intimacy in their surroundings.

A bedroom with a bed featuring white pillows and a beige throw blanket, decorated with small white pom-poms. There is a woven, choker-shaped chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The room has white textured walls, doorways with rounded arches, one leading to another room with towels and the other to a bathroom with a partially open door and a starfish decoration above the doorway. A thermostat and light switch are visible on the wall.

Material & Colour Palette

Think resin floors and lime washed walls accented with antiqued brass and muted Didmon Greek marble. Both the tones and the textures here are all about connecting to the earth with plenty of wooden and stone elements too in a harmonious warm neutral palette.

A scenic coastal scene with white buildings, colorful flowers, lush greenery, windmills, blue ocean water, and a yacht in the distance under a partly cloudy sky.

Noteworthy Features

Apart from designing the interiors we worked closely with the client on the rebranding and strategic repositioning of this hospitality project.

“Working with Maria and Eris on the interior design for Lympstone Manor was an incredible journey, right from their initial creative pitch to the launch of what has always been my vision. Meraki proved to be innovative, efficient and detailed throughout the project and passionately embraced my initial brief bringing to life my dream; a country house hotel for the 21st century.”
